You can't be kind of pregnant

But you can be half pregnant, or at least half the way done.

I am 20 weeks, that is right, I am HALF done!

Baby H gave me the pleasure of feeling his or her first distinct kick on 10/27, and I couldn't be happier.

So at 20 weeks this is baby's development:

Baby has graduated from being a tomato, to a banana baby

Baby is swallowing more, its skin is developing into complex layers, and apparently, is still working its first (ah'em) poo.

We hope to find out if Baby H is a girl or boy on Friday, I really hope he or she is up to showing off the goods!

Sharing Giveaways!

I have become slightly addicted to giveaways, I dare to bet because I am all about all things baby right now. I cannot get enough information about the best baby items, including gear, clothing, blankets, and stuff for mom (hey, that's me!) I thought I would go ahead and list my favorite giveaways going on so you can enter them too :D

The following all come from Does Mommy Love It .  I love this site, I already won the breast ease product (freezable and microwavable packs to relieve breastfeeding pain - my husband thinks these are a tad bit weird and hopes to not see these in our freezer, I on the other hand am SO excited about them)

A super silly CD for baby!

A coloring book and yellow bird onesie

A matchbox car wallet - a play center for on the go!

You don't have to be a mom to want this!

And clothing from Urban Munchkin

Whew, I think that is enough for tonight, all details are at Does Mommy Love It! Go and enter!

Thankful Thursday!

Thankful that I just completed the Regulation section of the CPA exam, I will be more thankful if I PASS!

19 Weeks

Well everyone, I am officially 19 weeks pregnant!  Baby is the size of a large tomato.

It is crazy how much I already am anticipating this little tomato baby.

In other news, Baby Hernandez is getting stronger by the day, and I am feeling movement very often.  I hope it won't be long until the hubs can feel the little one too!

I like to get my weekly pregnancy updates in my email (seriously, I get like 6 different ones) and I felt the need to share them with my dear father yesterday.

Me: "Hey, Dad!  I get these emails every week telling me how the baby is developing"
Dad: "Really?"
Me: "Yep, guess what the baby is doing this week?"
Dad: "What?"
Me: "Working on its first poo"
(uncomfortable look in my direction, followed by a "I didn't really need to know that")

No matter how old I get, I never get tired of embarrassing my father.

Old Man Winter Is On His Way :(

This time of year is depressing for me.  That is right, I said depressing.

The leaves fall off and I know cold weather and snow is on its way.

After going to college in Bowling Green, Ohio, I cannot appreciate the cold wintery wind, or snow, or ice, or anything snow related.  Driving in it can be downright scary.  So I am going to look for the silver lining today! The following are some things I might even look forward to for the next few months.. let's stay positive!

1.)  For one, I am expecting my first baby in March, so therefore, I love the month of March now, regardless of how cold, snowy, or downright horrendous it is.

2.) Being stuck at home with my husband.  Yeah, you know, its so nice to be out and about, but I can look forward to the time we will spend longuing, especially since it will be our last winter to lounge before our new addition gets here.  Warm pajamas, hot chocolate, movies.  Definitely a positive.

3.) It becomes OK to shop waaaaay too much.  This is a major plus.

4.) Ok, I have to throw this one in here, it IS negative.  TAX SEASON!  For those of you who don't know, I am an accountant.  This tax season will either be a blessing or a terror since I am expecting.  I believe that my huge stomach will be a talking point during appointments more often than I would like, but at least there will be no awkward silences.  Downside to tax season? 55 hour workweeks. Upside? Clients like to bring us goodies :)  Plus I love my job, I have awesome clients and great coworkers, having a job is a blessing in and of itself.

5.) The holidays, friends, and family.  This should probably be number three, right below my bundle-of-joy-to-be and my husband!

6.) Cozy sweaters, warm fuzzy socks, and soups.

So, today I challenge any of you who read this to do your best to turn a negative into a positive, I feel better about the upcoming winter already, kind of. I think. :)

Between working full time, becoming a mommy, and trying to finish getting my CPA license, I somehow think I can find time to blog as well!  Trying to work on the design when I can grab a second, and later will start adding more content, including my favorite mommy blogs that have outstanding giveaways!

In the meantime, don't mind the blah-ness! :)
